Boston: 2012 Youth Mutamar

Assalaamu Calaykum Waraxmatullah.

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are pleased to announce to the larger Somali community in city of Boston and its surrounding areas that Masjid Altaqwa will be hosting the youth conference that used to be held at the end of every year. We, unfortunately, missed last year and we apologize for that.

 

This conference will be held on Saturday & Sunday December 22 – 23, 2012. This conference will contain, as all of you have known in the past, programs such as Sermons (Somali & English), Qur’anic recitations, Questions and answers, and workshops that we intend to teach young people (men & women) about different matters. It will also have some other important programs for all Somalis in the area.

 

We want to share with you that we are expecting the participation of some well-known Somali Imams and sheikhs to be part of this conference. We are glad to announce that we are expecting the attendance of Sheikh Abdirahman Sheikh Omar, the chairperson of North America’s Somali Council of Imams and the current Imam of Abu-Bakr Assadique in Minneapolis. In addition to that, we are expecting the arrival of Sheikh Adam Sheikh Abdullahi, Imam of Ibn Taymiyah in Ohio. Sheikh Abdulbary Yahya, the current Imam of Masjid Jami’ul Muslimeen in Seattle Washington is among the notable attendees of this conference.

 

For the past several years, we used to have this conference at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC) in Roxbury but this year we are different as we are staging it @ the Boys and Girls Club of Boston (see address below).

 

We please ask all of you to bring yourselves, families and friends so that we can all benefit from this wonderful yet knowledgeable Imams and Sheikhs and other people of knowledge. Your participation is a major contribution to this wonderful cause, so please be there and be first to come. Below you can find the theme of the conference and the location it will be occurred.
