You know we are winning when your opponent doesn’t tell the truth!
Yesterday Transportation for Massachusetts (They should be actually be called Taxation for Massachusetts.) crashed our press conference where we were announcing that we got 100,000 signatures to make the ballot.
They could not wait 1 hour, 12 hours or 1 day to start lying.
Here is the first line of their press release: “If this question were to make the ballot, and if it were to pass, voters need to realize it will significantly cut funding for transportation.”
This ballot initiative is about Taxation without Representation.
I confronted these uninvited liars. I asked them to name where 1 dime is being cut. Guess what? No answer. Why? Because, they are lying!
I am not going to take their lies or raiding our wallets any more.
Here are some talking points to share with your friends:
- This ballot question repeals the linkage of the gas tax to inflation.
- It stops our taxes from automatically increasing.
- If this linkage is allowed to stand, then other taxes will be linked to inflation.
- This cuts no funding for any projects.
- The gas tax doesn’t fund transportation. It goes into the state’s general fund.
- Over the past 1 months, the state has taken in $900 million above revenue projections. Taxes don’t need to be raised.
- The state has wasted over $1 billion of our tax dollars over the past year. The latest waste is $9 million to remodel the Governor’s office.
Who is funding this group?
