Members of Boston Islamic Center (Somali Community) are deeply saddened by the tragic occurrence at the Boston Marathon.

We are all aware and are very disappointed by what had happened at the Boston Marathon yesterday afternoon.  A day of celebration for our beautiful city of Boston has turned into a day of tragedy. Although many Somali people work around the area of Copley, luckily none of them were hurt.

Our hearts go out to those who were affected by this incident.  Boston Islamic Center also asks for your support in relief efforts.

The Boston Islamic Center and the Muslim community in Boston are also deeply saddened by the tragic occurrence at the Boston Marathon. We are also concerned for the loss of life and injuries to the victims of this tragedy.
